oh right, I read it wrong. I could use this: It comes with a 3 amp fuse but I could buy a 1 amp fuse to go in it. this is similar to what is attached to my BOSS equalizer through the 12v wire. Or would the 3 amp be fine?

I have one now that is both. When it is turned on you can detach the faceplate. I'm just looking for something new now. Either way the hide=away is more preferred than detachable if you know of any.

it is 4ohm DVC. I'm not worried anymore about this, I just saw last night during some extensive research that if you have DVC, parallel is much better than a series.
