really? i was being more specific in regards to running the subs on 1 channel, something about in series...i really am not sure, so I was trying to get an idea...

maybe the verbage is not correct...i'm pretty new to car audio, hence why I was seeking opinions of what I deemed a straightforward question those with more knowledge would understand what I was asking.

I purchased a JBL GTO 5355 5-channel amp, going to run 2 JBL P1022 2 ohm 10s, 2 CDT 6.5" mid woofers, 2 CDT 1" silk tweeters, 2 CDT 6.5" coaxials. Will this amp be sufficient to provide ample power to all of these? I am putting all of these in my '02 TransAm. The subs will be in the hatch well...

what's the difference between the Type-R's & Type X's from Alpine??

not on a budget, so price is not a real issue. so the JL Audio amps I should rule out??

Actually, they are the Type X speakers. Not sure what the difference in Type-R & Type-X is.

I'll be using 2 alpine 10" Type-R's in the hatch, how 'bout the JL Audio Amps?? Are they pretty solid??
