How can i reduce the amount of power going to my subs?? I know my subs are 300 RMS and can hadle somthing like 800. And my amp is around 1200RMS, so it should be giving 600 to each sub right??? Is that too much, and if so, how do i reduce the power?

Also, could it also be becuase of the ports aren't tuned right?? It just sounds like the subs are gettin pushed too much....

Yeah they are in a ported box. They sound like they are clipping at a certain freq. and it sounds like shit. Almost like they are gettin pushed too much or sumtin. I've been playin with the setting for awhile now. I got the the SSF turned up about 3/4 of the way, but cant figure out the X-Over

I currently own a PG Tantrum 1200.1 and am having some dificulty with setting the setting right. I think i finally have the SSF figured out, but i cant figure out what i should set my X over to???? any suggestions??? I am running 2 12" type R's off it.

Im currently running my 1200.1 PG Tantrum amp at 4ohm's to my 2 12" Type R's which is also at 4ohms. Just wondering if anyone knows if my amp can handle running 2ohm's safely or even at 1 ohm. Or if i even need to go any lower then 4 ohms for the subs i got. I'm trying to get as much boom...
