i dont know if its safe to be cutting it that far back? is it possible to cut it really far back and buy some new wire to solder/splice in?

is there a guideline on how to check for these things? this will be my first time checking for stuff like this

well the ground is to the shifter plate... and when i wiggle that its fine... its only the red wire (constant 12v) but i will check it out in the morning

everything is stock.. no amps subs or anything special... stock speakers on the 240sx... i wired the harness straight to the radio harness with butt connectors

hello guys... i am sort of new at this... so i have an alpine cda 105 that i tried to wire up to my 1989 240sx... i used a wiring diagram to connect the old harness to the new harness using butt connectors everything worked great and powered but when there is movement the deck would shut off...
