so runnin 12 gauge to the battery instead of 22 from the wiring harness will help a bit right?? also do i need a small fuse at the battery as well as the stock 15 amp fuse on the HU power wire?

my speakers are distorting around setting 18 and my subs dont distort untill like 27 this is anoying, it says i should hook the HU directly to the battery? ive been to lazy to do this as of yet. would this help the distortion? also do i need a fuse by the battery? because it has a 15 amp fuse on...

Why not? What makes a home theater sub any less desirable? duribility issues maybe? are they made to get tossed around like car audio is? any other ideas?

Me and my buddy are looking to udgrade his blazer. hes got 2 12" kicker cvrs running at 2 ohms and 1 12 kicker L5 at 2 ohms on 2 kenwood 1000 watt amps. its loud but sound quality is lacking. hes looking to get just as much bass with 2 new 12s. so could the more knowledgable ppl in here...
