Well I just talked to Best Buy and they are telling me that I actually need a GMOS-07, so either I was told incorrectly by someone on this site or Best Buy doesn't know what they're talking about.

I am attempting to install a Kenwood DDX512 in my 2006 Chevrolet Equinox. I was told I would need the GMOS-01 harness, so that is the one I purchased. The problem is that there are grooves on the factory piece that connects to my harness that do not match up with one another. Can any one help me?

According to Crutchfield, the GMOS-1 is for keeping OnStar, so I need that one even though I don't have OnStar?

I had no intentions of installing the thing myself. I just wanted to by the bypass from the internet instead of paying for it through the place I'm getting it installed, so would it matter which one I bought since I'm taking it to them or would I be better off calling them and seeing which one...

One more thing. Do you know a good place to buy it on the internet or would I be better off just getting it at a place that installs?

I just recently purchased a Viper 5900. I drive a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox. I wanted to purchase the bypass module off of the internet to try to save a bit of money on installation. Does anyone know which bypass I would need? Thanks.
