I've got 2 JL Audio 10w3v3. Right now I've got one hooked up to 500 watts rms and it hits hard. This is with another amp, I haven't gotten the JL amp yet. If I wire the two 4 ohm svc subs in parellel for 2 ohms this will be 250 watts each. Will the 2 subs at 250 watts hit harder than the one...
The alpine amps are about 12 years old. They've been good ones but aren't as powerful as I would like them to be so I'm trying to decide between these two soundstream amps and zapco amps. The specs between brands are similar but soundstream is cheaper.
Which of these amps do you think has better sound quality? The specs of these amps look identical. The first is the REF520.4 from the referece series. The second is the TRA960.4 from the Tarantula series.
The rca's are jl audio, their supposed to be the best, right?
I've literally removed all audio power equipment from the vehicle, amps and headunit, leaving only speakers and wiring.
So it can't be audio system related right?
Has anyone ever had an alternator that charged the battery but was noisy and replaced it to eliminate the noise?
How do you trace a bad ground that's not audio system related?
I have removed amps and headunit and I'm still getting noise through speakers?
While isolating noise in my system I disconnected amps and head unit and I am still getting alternator noise through the speakers.
Anyone run into this before?
