    yea, the red wire should have worked, i don't know what the deal is with the wiring in the back of the deck, i did a pretty shabby job installing everything years ago, i need to redo it. i don't wanna pay to have the deck looked at, if anything, i got a buddy who will sell me his old eclipse...

    i'd rather not do a switch either though, i'd never remember to flip it every time, and i have no experience with relays.

    what's weird is i tried the red wire on the back of the deck and it still didn't work. that one shocked me too.

    when i tested it with the dmm i got absolutely no reading of voltage whatsoever so it doesn't have any output from the back of the deck at all.

    i did. i thought there might be, so i ran a fresh wire from the remote wire terminal on the amp to the back of the deck and still nothin.

    it is definitely the deck because when i jumped a wire from the power terminal on the amp to the remote terminal on the amp, it worked just fine, amp worked, sub worked.

    Ok, so I have a Kicker 350.1 amplifier and a 10" pioneer sub in a ported box and an eclipse cd5000 deck. I hooked everything up and realized using the remote wire hookup on the back of my deck won't turn the amp on, i also tried the acc wire and the power antenna wire, no luck. i was getting...

    well it's one 12" idmax dvc wired to 1 ohm. amp is 1 ohm stable. i also have a remote wire hooked up from the audi sub amp to my pg xenon 4 ch component amp which is hooked up to my 6 1/2 comps in the front and rear btw. when i do the dmm testing should i have the key to the on position...

    well recently i blew a fuse on my audison sub amp, and i replaced it and it blew again in about 10 minutes. i checked all the wires and how they were wired and they were all fine. so i tried another fuse, and now i have no sound whatsoever. can anyone throw some ideas at me of what could...

    hm that's weird, i called a couple local car audio shops and they've never heard of the fuses. these fuses must not be used for very many things.
