correct. i told my friend about that too...he said they shoulda set gains GE branded...i picked one of the better ones they had at walmart lol thanks for your patience and help btw

jw sometimes when i am measuring the voltage it jumps to like 200v...is that okay?

**** so voltage=sqrt(power*resistance) ? that sucks a lot...if i put my gain just above half way and listen to my music at my normal volume it goes a little above 250watts...guess i have to keep gain half way and with no bass boost this JL sub is hella weak

stupid question- how the hell do you measure voltage to sub? i just bought a dmm and i have negative at negative and positive at positive on speaker wire and it just keeps showing 0

i have a cadence TXA-1502 powering a 8" JLw3v3 and it is set at 300watts at 4ohms but i don't want the sub handling that much. i only want the sub getting 200-250watts...i have the input gain set half way and bass eq set at about +10 dB (max is +12 dB) with the HU bass on max. should i be fine?

got my car back. the problem was poor connections to everything. ground location was fine, but connection poor. ring terminal to battery poor, LOC connection poor and swaped. wiring was all good and he used my original wires, what was changed were the rings and clamps. i guess it can kinda be...

labor is a ***** huh

took it to car toys they are charging me $180 for undoing and redoing everything. i talked to the service guy for awhile and he said for $50 he will check all the wiring but even he agrees i have done everything i can and he will just be redoing what i have already done
