I would prefer that, I will have several inches to the side that would have plenty of ventilation, and facing the sub forward would give me a bit of space in the rear of the trunk plus better access to the wheel well area.

Any way you could get me a sketch-up of the box with a port not in the front, including all dimensions of the box and port? I would like the port not in the front so I could slide the box as far forward as possible and still have a bit of space in the trunk for stuff.

How far away from the seat would I need this thing to be to have the port with plenty of breathing room? Or could I put the port to the side?

Is 15" height gonna be strong enough for me to mount the sub? The cutout was just under 14" that fit the speaker nicely on the box I just made.

It cannot fit from the rear without some heavy bending, the front is not fully open when you fold the seat down, it has some little pyramid of gayness that serves no purpose other than to prevent boxes from fitting through. So I'll be needing a new one...
