Perfect, so a ported box, with the sub w/grill & port on top. How important if at all is the "L" wall inside for the port? Is that what "tunes" the box to a particular frequency?

Will do. Would it matter or perhaps improve things if I put peg feet on each corner so that the sub & port are on the bottom shooting toward the floor?

Wow, this has sparked a LOT of info that's mostly over my head, right/wrong and some perhaps irrelevant for my intent & purposes. While I truly appreciate reading and learning from everyone's discussion, I wanted to restate my original question (or at least what I meant). I'm not a car audio...

Thanks. I'll stick with a sealed box then, cause I'm after sound quality rather than "loudness". Also, the amp has a high level input, but I'd need to find (or fashion) 2 plugs, one for each vehicle. That way I eliminate the need for rca's and LOC's.

And, is that simply the minimum interior volume, or should the interior volume be as close...

Both are 100% stock. While I'm not opposed to replacing the head units with aftermarket, I realize that's not the part that makes it a PITA. I was thinking of running the power, remote and rca's to the back of each vehicle, and then having some sort of quick-connect adapters so that I could...

Well, ya see that's just the thing. The dimensions are so complicated that I'm simply hoping that someone already has plans for my truck. I know how to calculate air space and build a box, I just need help deciding where and details. I have found a box online, but they obviously don't give away...
