Profile CA1200 goes into protection mode

So, if the sub is blown, would the resistance across it be than 4ohm (since it is wired up as 4 ohm)? I went to Radioshack and bought 2 RCA plugs that I will solder in myself. I've looked over the amp and I didn't notice anything at all. If the sub wasn't hooked up (meaning there is no load)...

Profile CA1200 goes into protection mode

It's a CA. There were both CL and CA models. Both rated at the same output. I think the appearance was different. Not sure though.

Profile CA1200 goes into protection mode

The only think I can think of would be the inputs because I remember when I had my Monster wiring, I tried to pull the RCA off the input and it pulled part of the input connector out. I doubt that is it though considering I completely desoldered the RCA input from the amp. Now there is no way it...

Profile CA1200 goes into protection mode

Well, I think I blew the suba long time ago, but I'm not sure how to check. This Profile is supposed to put out 900rms x 1 @4ohm. I have a FUBR12 at 4ohm, but it hasnt been hooked up for a while because I think I blew it. Sould the amp notice no load and automatically go into protection mode...

Profile CA1200 goes into protection mode

It's been a while since I looked at the amo because this happened a long time ago. Basically, as soon as the amp gets power, it goes into protection mode. It will do it with the input and output hooked up, just the input hooked up, just the output hooked up, or just the POS and NEG power wires...

Amp sometimes plays, then shuts off

I'm still having this problem. I measured the resistance of the sub at the terminals of the amp and it's reading 4.3 - 4.4ohm. Could that be why?

    Problem with amp

Ok. The post about my grounding fixed the problem for a few minutes. The amp still shuts off. I will go ahead a paste my question that I asked on the XtremeSaturn forum: Ok. This is still happening, and it pissing me off extreme bad. I took the sub out to check to wiring. The wires are soldered...

    Problem with amp

hmm. How do you have it wired up? Mine's at 4ohm bidged so that's around 900 RMS.

    Problem with amp

How many applications are you trying to run off of the remote wire? Depending on the headunit, some can supply more power than others. If you are trying to turn on 2 or more amps with the wire, it may work for a few secs, but as soon as the sub hits, it'll pull enough power to cause the remote...

    Problem with amp

Ok. After tearing my amp apart to make sure nothing on the board was fried, I put it back in the car and went to wire up the ground wire and I pulled it a little too hard i guess and it came right out from under the screw. So, I tried tightening it down, but it wouldn't tighten all the way. So...

    Problem with amp

I have the exact same amp and for some reason mine gave out as well. It'll hit a few times than the protection light will come on. Could this be something internally? I have mine bridged at 4ohm into a FUBR12 sub. I'd like to know this as well. I don't want to buy a new amp.

    Videos of subs

Yeh, I'm not getting them to work either, but according to the admin, there are bandwidth issues so that could be it.
