    fuse holder

Sounds like fuse is bad. Look under magnifying glass to look for a seperation of the metal. Or check for continuity of fuse on each end with your multimeter (if it allows you)

lots and lots of alternator noise

Yes, power wire and rca's should never run side by side. The hiss of the alternator carrys along the power wire, when RCA's are placed next to it, depending on the amount of hiss the alt is producing the RCA's will pick up these "hiss" waves and reproduce them. If the RCA's and power wire...

    Capicator?

If ya play your tunes loud longer than a few seconds its running off your alternator and battery, the caps energy has already been consumed and is now in a recharge state, which in turn can create ADDITIONAL load on your supply! DO NOT GET A CAP!!!

    Help!!!

It may still be charging but not at its maximum capacity, before spending money on anything i would seriously get it tested, before it goes out completely leaving you stranded. It's highly possible it's not the alternator but you can probably get it tested for free.

    Electricity Experts (serious problem)

It all depends on how much load the stock components are creating on the system. Say for example his stock components are drawing 55 amps then with...

    Electricity Experts (serious problem)

70 amp alternator is probably stock for your stock components. 300W/14.4~12V = 20.8 to 25 additional amps being loaded onto your alternator. Thats just at 300 watts rms, consider your peak wattage also, depending on how often your amp is creating more than 300 watts.

Get your self a Wiring kit, since you have 2 amplifiers you will either want 2 wiring kits for each amplifiers wattage or you could go with 1 big kit for both amps with a larger power wire that includes a distribution block. For the 500 watt amplifier you can get away with 8 guage power...

What kind of cap? you 100% sure the ground is good? You say the cap doesnt turn on...so i am guessing it has a digital display...I have never seen a cap hooked up without being charged up first. Even if the cap is no good you should still have power to the amplifier. Also the remote, be sure...
