Thanks for the info. I do not have to go Alpine, if you recommend mix 'n' match! Is it possible to drive my rears only from my head unit? Reading into the spec I can have the output either to the pre outs or speaker outputs, not both

To All, Just registered, complete newbie to car audio but I am an electrictrical engineer so I understand a bit. I have an alpine CDA-7893R Head unit, and that's it. I would appreciate advice on what gear to put in. I prefer to keep everything Alpine. I thought Type R 10" Sub SWR-1021/1041D...
