I figured it out. I pulled the rear speakers as suggested and was able to identify he correct wires. Should have done that before. FYI though, that wiring diagram was incorrect!

That's what I was thinking about them sharing a ground but in the diagram it's showing that wire for a positive and negative hookup. Sorry I'm new at his!
