pioneer has a x920bt with hpf and lpf, sub gain controls and 7 band EQ built in or you can try to find a x910bt which is last years model for much less. oh and the x710bt is the same as the 910 with no dvd player hope this helps

i would say its not the amp from what i get of all this. and any update on how it sounds now?

make sure that the remote wire is not next to rca's either. or you can try disconecting the remote wire from the amp and make a jumper if you loose the noise then your remote wire could have a exposed area along it.
