Remote turn on. Going to check it later this week. Almost 100% certain it's something with the amp. I am assuming that a resistor inside went bad or something along those lines.

No, the wire goes back to 14v and the amp turns off. It is connected to the remote wire coming off of the headunit wiring harness

Yes I know what wires are which. The wire is a 12v lead off the deck, it has milliamperes not millivolts.
