Hey tsupra I heard it was bad to bolt your amp to your sub box

It reads at 13.5v at the fuse after the battery, 11-11.5v while playing and dips into the 9v and 8v range when the bass hits. The amp needs 14.4v for full power right? What's the best way to fix this???

I am having trouble with my system. It worked fine for about 2 years then all of the sudden the sub or amp would cut off on a deep bass note or when I turn it up loud. I've had my factory alt. tested and it is ok, battery is a yellow top optima about 2 years old. I tried charging the battery...
