OK...If I have 7 speakers in my car, like 4 speakers, 1 sub, and 2 tweeters, all stock setup, and I replace it with a 4x45 deck, will it be ok because it is only sending 45 watts to the 4 speakers? I dont understand how the wiring will be. Will the harness have the wires for all the speakers...

But I am going to be powering them from a distribution block so I was wondering what size fuse to put in that?? --Tehon

What would you recommend as a fuse if I have all these hooked to the same power wire with an inline fuse? TV, DVD, and FM Modulator. 10A fuse? --Tehon

OK...Now the DVD player will not need constant power correct? Only when I want it on is when it will need power. That should be the same for the modulator too right? And how much power do you think a tv, dvd player, and modulator would draw?? --Tehon

OK...One more question...Not all head units need an FM modulator right? How would I know if mine needs one or not and what if I do need one, what do you recommend for a brand?? Thanks!

OK...That helps a lot...So the FM modulator connects to the head unit so it can use your speakers, how does that get wired your head unit? And when you say "stop and run into the store", when you turn the car off, the sound stops since the head unit turns off right? And does the constant hot...

Hey guys - Anyone know where I can get some good information on how to wire up a DVD and TV in my car? I just need to know how it all gets wired and if I will need an FM modulator or what. Any information would be appreciated! --Tehon

Thanks for the information. I think I will get between 50-100 sq. ft. of whatever I get so I can have as much as I need. I really need to do the trunk top, not even all of it, but if I have it all, I might as well do it. --Tehon

Anyone got anything good (or bad) to say about Fat Mat? I can get 100 Sq. Ft. of it for $120 shipped and it's 45 mils thick. I have a layer on my trunk already of Dynamat but I hate it...seemed like it didn't even do anything. --Tehon

It's got to be a poblem with the HU then. It shouldn't get that hot to the touch.

That will definately cause a problem. The amp is taking all the power and the HU is not getting enough so it shuts down.

Is the HU grounded correctly, and do you have anything else besides the amp wired to the HU?

Well where do you think a place that isn't so "poser-ish" is?? I don't want to just throw a gauge just anywhere.
