In what ways, if any, are the 9833/9835 not as worthy as a 9811/13/15? The -35 is frequently mentioned as the "last great deck" from Alpine.

If you can track down "Where do I Begin? (Away Team Remix) by Shirley Bassey. Not much until about 2:40 into the song where there is this gliss/sliding descending electronic bass sweep that goes lower than anything I've auditioned it on.

If it matters, there IS a physical difference on the back of the unit as well. Check out these pics (the -55 has the three pairs of RCAs):

Aside from the GlideTouch, there is one other difference - while both units use a Biolite display, the -55 is a little nicer to look at (the way the info is displayed). That being said, I'll be picking up my 9835 later this week (just can't wait around for the 9887...).
