Looks like it's a wiring problem..I just get in from messing around with it and got it working, But had to F with the wires in the driveside door.. We are finishing up the ******* door on that side, And looks like we had the speaker wires from the door harness touching.....Were going to go over...

I will disconnect the speakers to rule that out.. The problem happens when I try and access the, Tuner, DVD, Nav, TV Tuner, I pick one, Then a sec later it goes blank.. No amps plugged in at this time...Will do on the speakers.. Yes it is..That could be also! I'll look in to that! Thanks...

Thanks guys! There is a reset button on the front, And I have tried it a hundred time by now...I did get it to work, 5 out of them hundred times...But, After awhile it would go blank and I'd have to reset it just to get it to say "standby".... One time I shut the door and that made it stop...

I have a kenwood KVT-817..I'm having a problem with it, It stays in stadby mode, But I am to use(access) my navigation, But everything else I try to access(tuner, Settings, DVD..) It just dies..I then hit the reset button and it gets me back to a standby reading..
