Awesome. Any suggestions on a good but budget friendly mono amp to drive those 2 alpine dual coil 2 ohms subs? Maybe precision power or kenwood? Im also assuming 4 gauge wire would be more than enough.

So essentially, i almost dont even need the kicker amp. Good head unit can run the speakers and just get a new mono amp for the subs.

Quick question though - im trying to save money and am getting a new head unit too. Im assuming i can run the door and dash speakers off the head unit and still use this kicker amp for the subs, correct? Even if the amp isnt "ideal" would it still do a decent job for the subs?

Currently looking at a custom enclosure with 2 infinity 1262w subs for about $300 for a dodge challenger. Lets say i wanted to pick up the polk ($99 at frys.com) instead, fully knowing it wont be near as effective but still should pack a decent punch. How do these non-custon sub enclosures...

8" is the precut cutout that all challengers already have. However, the more i thought about it, this would probably take longer for someone to install. Better using that money towards the more expensive box and getting the 2 subs i really want, even if it is more expensive. And obviously the...

Also do you know if all challengers have the precut hole for the sub? I have a 2012 sxt.

This would go in the reAr deck of my challenger between the 2 rear speakers should i decide to go the no box route. Any good suggestions, preferably less than $125-150?

Hey mopar, i was thinking of installing an 8" sub in thE precut hole in the deck. Will save me about $250 from getting a box and 2 subs. Are you saying having a sub in the deck is basically useless? I think it has to be shallow mount too. Look on my thread in the systems recommendations forum...
