hi. why most car enclousers get wraped into a fabric? doesn't that kill the sound? why most hifi enclousers are just painted, not wrapped into fabric?

van cabin is under 3m3 while average car's is above 3, so it shouldnt be harder. i am speaking of cargo van, nor rv or passanger van.
