    Premier TS-C720PRS CaMAG Review!!

you got that right. I always find it funny when you flip through those magazines and read the review for a certain product, only to see their advertisement right on the next page. How can you take the review seriously when you know the company is dumping money into the magazine? Its much too...

Well I just got my SSCS6's Installed, and....(Review kinda)

Personally, I would go with the amps crossover over the HU's. It's probably on a better slope then the HU's, and its adjustible. Whichever you decide to use, make sure both arent on, it really messes with the crossover points.

    Polk SR Speakers

I dont always trust the magazines either, but if you look at CA&E on average, they seemed to have placed in an area where very few >1k component sets manage to get. I would also love to hear a set of these speakers. No one in my area even carries Polk Audio products.

    CMX question...

I would put them between the SLC and germs, although they are not necessairly "better" then the SLC's, just different. With the infamous cal25 tweet and aluminum (i think) woofers, this set is definately going to be heard.

    A/D/S components, pictures

I really hate the speaker wire inputs on those crossovers, and most DEI equipment in general. They become very flimsy and breakable over time. Nice set of speakers other then that though, I heard them at my local store, and almost bought a set.

    Speakers and power.

IF you got a budget of 500, why not step up to the germanium line of Rainbows? I believe they can be had for 450$. They would love the power, im sure of it.

    Death of a LOTUS

Non functionning audio gear always has to be broken, theres just no way around it. Looks like you guys had a good built day.

    A little guessing game.

That is sarcasm, right? Although I havent heard them personally, CA&E gave them an 88/100, probably one of the better ratings ive seen them give, especially taking into account their price.

    Mounting Rainbow Germ Tweets.

Strange that the germanium set doesnt come with the angle mounts, yet the SLC's have both the flush and angle mounts... Anyone have an explanation? Just curious...

    Rainbow SLC230's vs. CDT HD-52's

A speaker sets RMS rating doesnt really effect much as to how loud it will get with a certain power, its just a thermal power rating.

    Rainbow SLC v. SLC Kick

If you read it and are still confused, get the regular set, because the kicks require special attention and strict crossover and HPF settings.

Think I found out whats wrong with my SLC's

I almost guarantee thats the problem then. You probably have your volume on the deck too high, thus clipping its signal before it gets to the amp. Factor in the high level inputs and im sure thats the case. Try turning your factory volume lower, then setting the gains on the amps again.

Think I found out whats wrong with my SLC's

Running the factory deck? How do you have the amps wired then, using high level inputs? Perhaps this is a factor in the harshness of the tweeters? I know most factory stereos arent the greatest, and high level inputs can lead to a higher noise floor, possibily effecting the tweeters? Dunno...

Think I found out whats wrong with my SLC's

Why not grab yourself a roll of 3M double sided tape, and position them all over till you get the sound you want? I never understand people just throwing things in a car without testing, especially tweeters where placement can mean nice crisp sound or an ear bleeding rusty nail on a chalk board...

Think I found out whats wrong with my SLC's

Since when do speakers cause amps to blow up?
