I never knew a/d/s made amps, but they are owned by Directed which own ppi, orion, viper, cliford and some other company. I dont know much about there amps but I know they are a lot better then that flea market SPL amp

The only thing the ohm difference effects is the THD which is a little higher at 1ohm then at 2ohm but you cant hear that on a sub. The difference in sub size and the actual output of the amp will have a greater effect then what the ohm rating is.
