Speakers cutting out/distorting when bass hits.

I assume you're referring to the CAB-1600.1 which actually does look pretty nice. Granted, I need a 4 channel amplifier, but this might be useful in the future.

The exact same amp, except the newer model. For only $99, I really can't complain, and they test great on the amp dynos, so I'm sold for now unless there's a better budget option.

Replaced the amplifier and everything is fine now. 3 years out of that Hifonics!

Speakers cutting out/distorting when bass hits.

I said save the lecture because this happened suddenly. There was no gradual degradation in quality. It worked, and then it didn't. The issue happens with good voltages as well. I'm looking for an explanation to that specifically. I'm well aware I'm straining my system, as mentioned.

Correct, just the slightly upgraded battery. The gains were set with a mini o-scope and haven't been touched for the 2 years.

Kenwood DDX470 Hifonics BRX640.4 > Infinity 6030cs (F) / Infinity 6829cf ® Hifonics BRX1600.1D > 2x Sundown SA-10 KnuKonceptz KCA 1/0 640CCA/800CA battery, just replaced a couple of months ago. Let me first start off by saying this just started occurring randomly, which makes this all...

    Recommended Fuse Amperage?

Steave Meade actually tested Hifonics and it came out very well. Passed his test with no problems. I don't know if I can physically run 1/0 because it's so thick, but would I see any increase in performance? I did order some 100A fuses to replace the 80A ones I currently use.

    Recommended Fuse Amperage?

I am blowing the fuses, which is why I replaced them. I said "barely blow them" because I've only gone through 3 in a year. That's like once every 4 months which seems to be a rarity to me. I will look into getting 100A ones though. They are only a dollar more.

    Recommended Fuse Amperage?

So I have a Hifonics BRX1600.1D running at 1,200RMS @ 2Ohms through 18ft of 4 guage wiring. The kit itself came with an 80A fuse and when it blew I just kept putting more 80A fuses in there. I've had the system for about a year and I've only blown 3 fuses. It's not a problem for me at all as it...

    Sound System Serious Help.

Update: So I saw a video of the SA-8 and was really impressed. I checked out the specs and saw that it's mounting depth is a bit much, but the SA-10 has less mounting depth and more RMS. On top of all that, it requires "0.5 ft^3" sealed! I have .9 on each side so I take it these would do a LOT...

    Sound System Serious Help.

So something like this: Ford F150 Regular Cab Subwoofer Enclosure Would be too small? Since it's about the same if not less airspace as I have now? EDIT: Even something like this: F150 Subwoofer Enclosure It seems promising, .4 more cubic feet of air space. I just don't know how the middle...

A single DC LVL 4 would probably sound really nice too. Not too bad with the mounting depth but still pushing it.

Bleh, gonna have to take my old box out which is a pain and I cannot do it alone. I linked the old box I had, not sure if that helps at all in terms of making a new box.

    Sound System Serious Help.

Alright, how would I port it? Just leave a hole where the other 10 would be sealed. As for my other options, keeping these CVXs and making a bigger box would yield good results?

How good would you estimate my results if I sealed up one end and got a beefy 10? 1000RMS 10 in my 1.8 cubic foot box?
