    I disconnected the 9 cable and took a 4x6 speaker and tested each channel of the amp right at the amp and got the same results. So I am guessing it is the head unit? Since I am fading the headunit all the way to the front left speaker but am getting some sound out of the right front and vice...

    That's what I thought would be the problem but they use the common wiring colors of the purple, grey, white and green.

    It doesn't go to the headunit, it goes to the factory harness that sends it over the factory wiring. It keeps you from running seperate speaker wires to your doors and deck.

    I checked that first. The 9 conducter cable is color coded the same as the wire harness.
