Getting rid of my Infinity Reference series comps. They're too bright even with crossover adjustments etc. Can you guys recommend something in the $150.00 range that doesn't sound like the Infinitys. Thanks.

Thanks. I have heard the same thing today from some other people. Any other suggestions for comps in the similar price range...$150.

I've turned down the gain and also turned off the treble completely on the factory h/u that I'm runnning. It 's made a difference but not enough. Adjusting the crossovers is next. If that fails, I might have to install the MB Quart RCE216's that I was going to sell!!

I just had Infinity Ref components installed. Powered by a Rockfor 501x amp with a factory head unit. The HIGHS are overpowering. I can barely turn up the volume before the sound hurts my ears...in an unpleasant way. Could it be the gain on the amp? Or is it a case of setting the speakers...
