Here is the picture. It is the 'sealing gasket' that's what JL Audio calls it. There is a channel inside the 'gasket' which the mounting surface of the sub sits in--so essentially it surrounds the mounting surface. It also hides the screws and mounting holes so it gives it a nice clean look...

Well that's the first suggestions I've heard after months of searching. I'll check it out this weekend. Do you have any pictures or anything? This 'gasket' is also the aesthetically pleasing part that covers the bolts. Thanks for your help!

Hey everyone. I damaged one of the sealing gaskets for my JL Audio 6W-4 subs and am in desperate need for another one. I tried JL direct and all my local dealers but no luck so far. If anyone has one of these laying around or is willing to sell I will take it! Any help is appreciated!
