    Wiring a DVC sub...

Alright, cool, thank you. Since they're the same price and the final ohm shouldn't really matter, what sub would you get in my position?

    Wiring a DVC sub...

Well I'm not completely decided on the Kicker. The other sub I was considering was the Infinity Reference 860w which is a normal 'length' subwoofer, single voice coil @ 4 ohm. The shallow would be much easier to accommodate in my car's stock sub box which is an 8-inch shallow box which is why I...

    Wiring a DVC sub...

I haven't hooked the amp up yet, I've been waiting to get the sub before I do it. My speakers are Infinity Kappa 60.11CS, eight in total. Four woofers and four tweeters. They're rated at about 90W @ 2 ohm RMS. So would having them running off the four channels on the amp at 2 ohm and having the...

    Wiring a DVC sub...

Okay, so do you think this sub would work at all with the Rockford amp?

    Wiring a DVC sub...

Hi, everyone! I'm looking at purchasing the Kicker 40CWRT82 subwoofer. It's a dual 2 ohm voice coil sub. I plan on hooking it up to my Rockford Fosgate R600X5 amplifier. The amp can run at 2 or 4 ohm but since the rest of my speakers are 2 ohm, I'd prefer to keep the sub at 2 ohm. How would I...

Confused about the setup I want...

Well the sub's only 250 watt so I'm not really looking for too much more power than that. If I really needed, I may eventually go up to a 10-inch but that would really be it. Anything more than that and it's taking up too much cargo space. I'm not looking for the best, just something that will...

Confused about the setup I want...

I'd prefer to keep it under $200 if possible.

Confused about the setup I want...

Thanks for the help! One last question: like I said earlier, I plan on using an Infinity Reference 860w which is a 250 RMS watt single 4 ohm subwoofer. Do you suggest any mono amps for it? Edit: I'm currently looking at this amplifier.

Confused about the setup I want...

Alright, so I know what wires go from the stock amp to the sub. So I'm guessing a clip the wires between the stock amp and the sub, plug the end going from the stock amp into the LC2I so that they're connected, and then connect the LC2I to the aftermarket amp and then hook up the sub?

Confused about the setup I want...

Oh, I have everything except the second amp. I already have the Infinity Reference 860w that I'll be using as well as the LC2I and the second amp isn't a problem to get, it's just the wiring that I'm having trouble following. I'm fine wiring up speakers but I've never used a line-converter and...

Confused about the setup I want...

Right, so: Stock Amp ==Sub wires==> LC2I Inputs ==LC2I Bass Outputs==> Second Amp Sub Inputs?

Confused about the setup I want...

Okay, so would getting the LC2I and connecting it to a mono amp for the sub be a better idea? A mono amp such as this? Also, if that's the case, how would I wire up the LC2I? Would I still connect the front two woofers and then just run the output to the amp or would I connect the subwoofer...

Confused about the setup I want...

Alright, hey guys, I have a 2013 Ford Focus ST. The car comes stock with eight speakers in the doors (a tweeter and woofer each), a center speaker, an amp and a subwoofer in the hatch. The system as a whole isn't bad but I'm looking for something better. A lot of people said that replacing the...
