Question about brightness level of Pioneer DEH-P6800MP/DEH-p680MP at night

I have the P7800 MP and my multi-control button cannot be dimmed. It emits a very bright Blue backlight. This is a great deck, but this is one feature Pioneer screwed up on. If I were to make another HU purchase right now, I would buy a different one, because it is very annoying at night and...

    Experiencing nasty interference!!

I need some advice. I have been experiencing horrific amounts of feedback ever since I installed my new system. Here is what occurs. Only when the car is on do my speakers emit this noise. There is a whining that parallels the rpm of the engine, along with that, there is a clicking sound...

    OK, I give up!

OK, thanks...but check this out. After I posted my issue last night, I went backout and simply disconnected my front speakers from my amp and turned the fade 100% to the front and guess what? I heard noise coming from my front speakers. The same whine, but the clicking was gone. Can someone...

    My Alpine MRV F-345

My amp has been shutting down after about 3-4 min of play at low volumes and reading "CURR" on its digital display....owners manual says its getting too much current and it shuts it off as a safety measure. (Thank god for that, but now, what the heck do I do about this?) The manual basically...

    Big 3 Installation Question

Really, I can add, not replace? SWEET! You mean leave the wires be and simply have two wires comming off the positive alt? One original and one new (1/0gauge) fused to the pos battery terminal?

    Big 3 Installation Question

Thanks for the info, but what do I do with the wire that is currently connected to the alt and pos battery post? It is bundled with a bunch of other wires and it runs through my fuse box. Do I just wrap the hell out it with electrical tape or shrink wrap tubing to prevent a short??

    Big 3 Installation Question

I need some guidance on one aspect of the Big 3 installation. I'm OK with the Battery Neg to Chassis Ground, and also the Chassis Ground to the Engine Block. However, when I inspected the wire that goes from my Alternator to my Battery Pos, I see that it travels through my fuse box and it also...

    Problems...

Similar situation happened to me about a month ago. But, you see...I'm smart enough to know to disconnect the Neg terminal, but dumb enough not to act on my knowledge. I was actually removing a speaker in my door and all of the sudden my speakers started whaling what seemed like the worst...

What do I need? (Big 3?, X-Battery?, HO Alt?, All 3?)

Also, what's a good rule of thumb for my in-line fuse on the power wire from Batt to Dist Block given my system parameters? Do I need a fused Dist Block also? If so, what size fuses should I install?

What do I need? (Big 3?, X-Battery?, HO Alt?, All 3?)

Hey guys, I new here and I have been reading a bunch of posts but haven't yet read anything that quite answers my questions. I want to know if I need beefier electrical work in order for my new system to work properly. Here goes; Installing: Hifonics - Brutus Bxi1606D (1600x1 RMS @1...
