I installed 2 polk dxi 12" in my buddies rzr800. They really didn't sound all that great with the box firing up and away from the cabin, wasnt impressed with the box firing at the cabin either. The box is very similar to the pic you posted above. We are building a down firing box at the moment...

thanks, I did account for the displacement of the port itself. I believe the calculator i used accounts for this as well.

Just wanting to double check my numbers. Just build a box for 2 sa12's, 4.11CuF after displacement, will be seeing about 1800 watts rms. this will be a daily system that i may enter in some comps. thinking tune to 33hz via aero port. I'm thinking a 6" flared port, precision port calc says it...

Thanks, not exactly sure on the box dimensions. the only time i saw it was when it was still in the sanding and bondo stage. i'd say best guess is some where around .60-.70 cuF per chamber. I was thinking some of the Polk subs would work since they say they are marine grade and not too pricy...
