gm has had that in many other cars for awhile. I ck 00-03 ion and they dont have the relocation application. so if it is in the 04 it is new. i will ck and let you no. The relocation is not only for the chime it is also for the air bags.

The new power components are very nice. i was impressed with there sound quaility. they are also made extremely well. You will want to power them with an amp that is 75-100watts rms. if you do not put an amp to them they are not that good. very power hungry.

most amps rated at 4ohms mono will run at 3ohms no problem

that amp is rated to run at 4 ohms mono. i bet you have a dual 4 ohm voice coil speaker and u are running it in parallel and the amp sees a 2 ohm load. that is usually what causes your problem. if that is the case you need to get a differnt woofer or get a 2 ohm stable amp. soundfxny.com
