Thanks for all the tips guys. Now with only front speakers to worry about I can spend more for the pair. How about Infinity Kappas running off the deck? http://www.crutchfield.com/S-QbmOAyvYi9V/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=52200&tab=essential_info&i=1086827CF#Tab Or any 100 buck amp to power...

Thanks for the links DejaWiz. You understood what I meant with having a quality display. I've decided to go with the Pioneer Premier 7800. Looks the best to me and I know I can trust its sound quality. Pioneer HU: http://sonicelectronix.com/item_6982.html#

Thanks for all the tips. The only thing I don't like about the 9856 is the 80's era display. I would have to get at least a 9857 to satisfy that little nit pick of mine. That's why the dvd units were so appealing, nice high tech interface. Will one pair of CDT speakers really do the job? Cuz...

I've given it some thought, and you're right. I would never use the video feature much, its really a novelty item. I'm probably going to get this deck now: Kenwood Excelon DDX701: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-bx16GuKa2Ul/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=300&tab=essential_info&i=113DPX701#Tab

I do have a double din opening, its for an 2006 F150 regular cab. And I've actually considered the fact that I won't watch many movies or TV, but any other head unit seems bland now compared having a screen. If I find a badass one then maybe I'll get that. Sound quality is something I'm...

Is the audio quality really that bad on the Jensen? If so, how about these instead of the Jensen: Panasonic: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-kA6RhvTuCHE/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=168550&I=133VD6503 JVC: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-kA6RhvTuCHE/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=168550&I=257AVX706 I'm...

After reading up on people's negative experiences with Hifonics, decided to go with Power Acoustik SL-2000D amp: http://sonicelectronix.com/item_6215.html. Still looking for an amp for the speakers.

Then if another amp for the speakers is necessary then i will get one. I will have a remote bass control for the amp, so bass will not be blasting all the time. My budget is around 250 for speakers and amp.

I'm putting in 2 12" Type R's with a Hifonics 1600 watt mono amp with a Jensen VM9510 video deck (4 x 18w). Which speakers should I install? For ease of install I want coaxials that don't need to be amped. I have an 06 F150 with 6x8 door speakers. Thanks for your help.

What is the mounting depth on 12 inch type R's? I have a box with a max mounting depth of 7 5/8 inches, will it work? Thanks for a great site.
