Rear speaker whine (engine noise), why...?

I give up... you people are getting so far off topic it is retarded. It was not a ground. I moved my ground 3 times before any of this.. used a different wire, shortened it to less than a foot, etc. My amp is fine. I unhooked it while it was off and didn't just unhook a ground, where are you...

Rear speaker whine (engine noise), why...?

No, when my amp was unhooked a ground didn't matter. I had my rear speakers mounted with speaker wire running towards my amp, but not hooked up... So nothing was hooked up...Understand?

Rear speaker whine (engine noise), why...?

My power wire that was running along side my rear speaker wires was causing the whine. I read that it didn't matter if it was running along side of it and did my install the easy way with everything running on one side. The speaker wire was picking up the EMF the power wire was giving off and...

Rear speaker whine (engine noise), why...?

Wow... what the hell are you talking about? You say that is has to be a ground and can't be a power next to rca/speaker wire problem, but yet that was my problem and a few others that posted in this thread. Deffinity had to be ground problems. You too are a smart one.

Rear speaker whine (engine noise), why...?

And I guess you are still going to say my amp is defective while it is unhooked and the speakers were still making noise? And now that I moved my power wire.. the hiss is gone, but yet still defective? Yeah.. I would deffinity let a professional like you touch my audio system. I turned to this...

Rear speaker whine (engine noise), why...?

Man, do you even read post? My situation I had nothing hooked up to the rear speakers, so a ground was not in use. But I guess it was still a ground? ... some people are too stupid...

Rear speaker whine (engine noise), why...?

Alright guys... I finally go around to checking it out. I removed all my rear panels, etc.. I cut the pull ties I had holding the wires together. I then pulled the rear speaker wire away from both sides... Started the car... and the whine was gone. I then had a friend of mine move the wire back...

Rear speaker whine (engine noise), why...?

Well I was just trying to point out that if the amp is disconnected and the speaker wire from the amp, then the amp and HU have nothing to do with the problem, yet a few people kept saying it was from one of those sources... The wire goes straight from my amp to the speaker. There is only 1...

Rear speaker whine (engine noise), why...?

How can any of you blame this on my amp / ground when I have completely unhooked the amp.. that is completely stupid. When I unhook the amp completely it is leaving the rear speakers mounted, and a wire ran towards my trunk, but not hooked up.. meaning nothing is hooked up to the rear speakers...

Rear speaker whine (engine noise), why...?

How can you mess up a speaker install? You run RCA cables from the HU to the amp, and run wire from the amp to the speakers.. A monkey could do it.. You guys make it seem like it is hard. The only hard part is making it look good and not ghetto rigging it. Every wire is brand new. Nothing was...

Rear speaker whine (engine noise), why...?

I installed the system... Nothing else is hooked up. I DO NOT have a factory amp hooked up. Apparently it isn't impossible. Since my car is doing exactly as I am describing it. Anybody else?

Rear speaker whine (engine noise), why...?

Unhooked the amp completely and the noise is still there. Unhooked the HU along with the amp, noise is still there. Now my question... Can a power wire ran along side of my rear speaker wire be causing the whine? If you say no, then why not? What else would cause this problem. It seems you all...

Rear speaker whine (engine noise), why...?

I do not have a factory amp. I don't want to get a noise filter.. it just seems like a cover up, I would rather fix the problem. I will unhook the amp completely today. If it is still there, then I will unhook the HU completely as well... I will post results.

Rear speaker whine (engine noise), why...?

Alright, tomorrow I am going to unhook the power side to the amp and see if the noise is still there... What if the noise is still there? -Stephen
