I dont have a metal strip behind my seats, all of my seats r out, and its wide open from the trunk to the back seat, just a hydro motor right in the middle sitting on the floor

Dnick correct this is where the top folds in, if u open the trunk and bend down and look in, directly below the rear trunk seal 2" back starts the slope down, the material is hard plastic, and the top actually folds into a membrane, and the rear window is glass, so anyting hard would be bad...

Also i can use my nice empty spare tire well, all fiberglass????

Well about those dimensions. The trunk is 13.0" tall but slopes down to 7.0" tall in a 18" span. So that my friends seems to be kicking me in the junk! D@mn drop top! As for the 2cubes that is what i would prefer. It could be 20"D if it had to be, and 32" wide, I not worried about using the...
