I used the CAF Sa-12 plans for my SA-12, I was just commenting that the design is really good and worth the $5.

I don't know much about Head units. What is the difference between a 2v, 4v, or 5v pre amp output? Is a difference noticeable? And what about the low pass filter? The 149 can go from 20-200hz but my current HU can only go 50-125hz.

Match the spec the sub needs or else it's still gonna be weak.

The Sundown box design is a ported design. Since your box is too big just restart and build a ported one.

Download their design if you want, It's probably a ported design. But yeah, trust their specs. Yeah that could be it. A good sub is nothing with a **** enclosure. Gotta match stuff up.

If I'm correct Sundowns come broken in or just don't need to be broken in.

Go here: Sundown SA Series scroll to bottom and look at their ported specs for the 10". They even have a design you can download. Plus you went from a 12" to a 10", so I mean, less surface area.

So the box is custom made to the specs of the sundown?

Are you using the same box from the kicker as your sundown?
