    tint..

If you are on a side street approaching a stop sign at a main road and there is a cyclist coming along that main road, he needs to be able to make eye contact with you. Deeply tinted side windows makes this impossible. Many drivers are far too unobservant and will frequently fail to see...

    Alpine PDX5

Well I got the amp today I should have thought this out a bit better tho.. I got the PDX5 because I wasn't going to be able to fit a PDX4.150 AND a PDX 1.600 in the car. I have now decided that I don't think I will do the rear door speakers (based on listening tests with just the factory...

    tint..

    tint..

There's no need for anything darker than 50% on the front side windows. It cuts down on too much light at night and other drivers can't see you (important). If you want to reduce heat, there are films that are near-clear that will do this.

    Quality connections, fuse holders, etc...

Hmm.. I'd rather pay twice the price for stuff that isn't bling bling chrome plated with fancy shiny blue and yellow bits all over it... I should mention that I am going for as close of an OEM look and install as possible with my installation, even went as far as to build my own VGA/USB wiring...

    Quality connections, fuse holders, etc...

I was looking at an EFX amp wiring kit but was a bit disappointed with the quality of the distro block and fuse holder, specifically the plastic and plated metal bits... Is this typical in the industry or are there different grades of quality for items such as these? Thanks!

    Alpine PDX5

Hi Guys, did a quick search for "PDX5" and got a couple of hits but nothing in the amplifier section. I figure as these become more popular there will be more people talking about them so I thought I'd start a thread here in the Amplifier forum. I currently have a PDX4.150 that I purchased a...
