Indeed is not a bad smell when you know what it is. I heard that when the sub is burning up I will recognize it immediately.

i was hoping I can make it go off when the stereo goes off, bu t I cant frind that dam remote wire... maybe later i can add a switch for it.

Now I have one more question about matching sub to amp: Lets say for example your amp handles 500W RMS power x 1 @ 2 ohms if you have two speakers that handle up to 250 rms, will the power be divided by two 250 rms to each speaker?? that is wiring the two to output a 2 ohm impedance

that sounds good we have small wire nuts used for fire alarm that should work

wow that was fairly ease its the yellow wire coming out the harness.... now to tap into that wire what would be the best thing to do? I was thinking i could get a small wire nut from work and use that or just plain tape?

But i do understant that there is a contstant hot 12v wire also right? the one you are talking about should show no voltage once the car is off?

is not that i want to be contradictive because i cant be. I have no experience doing this. but i am just loooking for a basic set up and that i can buy locally. I dont even have a credit card so im trying to work with what i can reach

how about the size gauge wire , will 8 be ok for this ?. he just got the capacitor because it came with 6 gauge wiring kit, thahts why i wan the 8 gauge because it doesnt come with capacitor but its smaller wire
