I haven't finished it yet but I will be using PVC pipe. I didn't go with the 2" for the same reason. Thought it would be more likely to whistle. I'm going to do a small DIY flare on the PVC as well.

You're right. I actually ended up going with a 2.5" x 17" long port after messing around with the Torres calculator.

Whenever I design the box using SA8's I can't achieve the recommended F3. Vent always ends up being too long for the box. I think its because of my 7" max. box depth.

I don't think I can get the cu.ft required for a pair of sa-8's.

I have 2 Viair 380C's rated at 18 amps each. What compressors are you running? What's the rest of your setup?

You are correct. It takes about 3 mins to fill the tank from dead empty - once a week. Otherwise 30 seconds is all that's necessary. I do notice lights dimming at idle when the compressors are on and I press the brake right now.

Next question, how many amps is sufficient?
