I`ve narrowed it down to a alpone ida x305 or jvc kd-avx40. I went into a local audio store. I liked to ease of use of the alpine but the screen or the jvc. Also the jvc comes bluetooth ready and has a built in mic.

Looked at the ida-x305, looks really good and love the lcd screen. The only thing lacking is it doesn't come bluetooth ready but it does charge a ipod when using it.
