Ya, put a new one it. got an appointment next week at the place i bought all the equipment from to put it in. so much for saving some cash and doing it myself! oh well.

they say that they can't reprogram it. i called this morning, they say that they could only reprogram it with the trailer brake issues that the 06's had, he said that this was very different, so i don't know?

So i talked to the stealership this morning and he says that they can't reprogram it! so who knows, i would hope that they aren't outright screwing me, but you never know! so if they get it fixed, i'm gonna get the hu installed by someone else i guess.

oh and it also must have done something to the ****** control as i'm stuck in limp mode now!

Ya, maybe i would reinstall it if they can reprogram it. if they can't, i think i'll take it somewhere to have it installed (the hu). i don't want to chance buying another tipm!

The only question about my install is about grounding the HU. i grounded it with the factory wiring harness, should i have grounded it to the chassis, or would it hurt to run wires to both the wiring harness and the chassis.

So, was it a similar issue, or what caused your TIPM to crap out? I've heard something about having the battery disconnected for too long, but i don't know. I'm just worried about trying it again when I get the truck back, spending a lot of money to fix it, don't want to send more getting it...
