I have an 800 watt amp that is complete junk. But is there anything i can do to make it better? Like when i play at higher volumes the bass comes on and the amp turns off. I have to turn my HU on standy then back to my ipod to get it to come back on. Im not sure if it goes into protection mode...

So I currently have 2 12" kicker comps. Now my question is should i switch one of these subs for a Hifonics HFi12D4. I have an 800 Watt amp. Not brand name and is a peice of ____. Will soon be powered by a kenwood 640 Watt amp.
