    i dont try to strain .5 ohm loads... or 1 ohm loads... i wont even go to 2 ohm loads... all because of the dampening factor!!

    it is my belief that you should always use an amplifier that is more powerful than you subwoofer....hence you need 1000 watts you should run 1500 watts... the amplifier wont strain under the load and....... the sound will be ooh soo much better....more speakers are blown my underpower.... vs...

    i have had a chance to listen to a planet audio bb 1250.1... it seems do be a very capable amplifier.... i usually only buy rockford amps... but i would advise any one to purchase these amps if they can find them... their power specs are 450 watts into 4 ohms mono...... 700 watts into 2 ohms...
