you can go to their websites and look up the specs on both subs. the l7 are 750w rms 4ohm dvc(they might come in a 2ohm dvc version also). the w7 is 1000w rms 3 ohm svc.you would save money and space with the l7.amp wise you could get something from 1500w-2000w that's 1 ohm stable and power...

are the subs to much or not enough? unless you can eliminate your back seat, your options are limited for a large sub. try a 10''or 2 and keep the amp.

what's wrong with the jl set up?that should be more than enough bang. i have 2 new punch shallows and 3 punch hx2. all subs are 12''

the subs are 750w rms each, running 2 would put you at 1.5 ohms.basically you would be 500w short,but they still should sound good.

can someone tell me which material would be better, mdf or birch? i've only used mdf for the few sub boxes i've built. in some of the posts i've seen people use birch.what would be the plus and flaws of using this over mdf(3/4)? thanx

my dilema is that i have subs at my disposal(2 jl12w7,3 12" punchhx2,2 8" maaudio,2 15"autotekss,1 12"earthquake).i now own a 2008 vw passat and don't want to take up to much room in the trunk. i've asked about shallow subs being used but yet i've recieved no response. i do have a single 12"...

does anyone have any shallow subs and how do they sound? don't want to use all of my trunk space.would like to see some set ups in a passat or same size car. thanks
