    Too much power?

I love those k2ps. I have a set in my truck. Too bad the woofer won't fit in the door of my MINI Cooper.

    looking for component setup....

Instead of buying two sets off access or polyglass take the money and get these: http://cgi.ebay.com/165W-FOCAL-UTOPIA-GREAT-CONDITION_W0QQitemZ270126142193QQihZ017QQcategoryZ18799QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem $650 - awesome price even if they are used. The guy did have a couple negative feedbacks...

    Too much power?

I'll have the sub setup within the next couple weeks. The amp has been bridged to the fronts since it was installed. Yep, it is hella loud. I haven't blown them yet. The tinititus is a real possibility though.

    Too much power?

manual states bridged power is 2x140 @4ohms or 2x190@2ohms this is also at 12.6v - if you go to 14.4 v (while engine is running) it's even higher. of course you could turn down the gain or volume knobs to get less power - i'm curious about when I'm running near full tilt (which my ears...

    Which ones?

I'll vouch for the focals. The pks on ebay will be within your budget. Send em 100w RMS and it'll be great. I've got pks in my truck and polyglass in my car. they both go loud and clean. the polyglass tweeter is pretty darn bright and a bit harsh though.

    I need some Advice

post something in the subwoofer section about "wanna get stupid loud bass - I don't care if it sounds like crap" then you'll get lots of responses I can't help you either but I've been limited by depth several times in my past too. I've always just had to search for shallow mount speakers...

    looking for component setup....

copy and pasted from the linked thread: haha.. everyone forgot you were asking about components after seeing your sub set up. you're obviously going to need something wicked to keep up with those. >insert common question rainbow/focal/cdt probably has what you are looking for. I'll vouch...

    Too much power?

The speakers - Focal Polyglass 165 v3e 3 way components. specs 80w rms 160w max. I'm powering them with a boston acoustics gt-40 (normally 4x45w). original plan was to have the amp power both my fronts and rear 6x9's. The installer talked me into bridging the gt-40 and powering just the...

Rainbow Profi Vanadium or focal k2p

I've never heard the rainbows but the k2ps are pretty incredible. I don't think you'll go wrong with either choice.

oh noes..... more shallow mount subs

How about the Boston acoustics g1 or rockford fosgate p3 shallows? The specs on the g1 look better than the RF not to mention reputation is better. g1 specs: http://www.bostonacoustics.com/manuals/G1Man.pdf rockford page...

    Boston G1

Max Power, did you ever get a G1? I'm seriously considering getting one of these for a shallow mount situation myself. The specs on them look great. .5 airspace and play down to 24hz. Anyone else had a chance to hear them yet?

    Recommendation

I don't have a recommendation for your subs but for your Bose I'd recommend a sparkomatic 2x200w 10 band equalizer. Sorry for that. I really did try to resist. I'm a newbie on this board and shouldn't make these kind of remarks. Even if it is about bose.
