Tomorrow a.m. I am going to re-connect the remote wire properly and see how that works. If that doesn't work, then I will start looking at the RCA's and then the speaker terminals. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks again.

Poorly grounded RCA's?

1/0 coming from battery, 4 gauge going to amp, 4 gauge ground.

Amp doens't feel hot at all, it also happens even when vehicle has been parked for a while, so its not always after prolonged use.
