golf mk4. Not all of dash panel, are there maybe any screws I need to unscrew on the sides?

So I just bought a new headunit from ebay but I can install it since I cannot even get my old headunit out which is a kenwood kdc 3027. Any help how to remvoe it please? (I only have the tools supplied with a Pioneer headunit but was not able to get it out with them :/

You said it right "beginner" sub. Apart from my complete lack of knowledge in car audio and very low budget, I just want a decent sub nothing special just to enjoy a bit of bass in my car for everyday use.

The problem is I live outside the US and most of the used once won't delivery to my country or if they do it will be too expensive and thus not worth it

JVC KD-X30 or the Pioneer DEH-X3500UI is what I can afford atm. Which do you think I should go for? Any another recommended for same price tag?

That might be a bit too expensive since the shipping of the sub alone to Malta costs $100 :s my budget is around 200EUR + installation so that maybe I can get some decent speakers also but I really appreciate the links!
