    Sub Hiccup / Cap Beep

This thread can be deleted, I rewired everything myself this time and all appears to be great. I'm writing it of to one of two things or a combination of both. The fuse up front was about 4 feet from the battery and the ground was poorly attached. I paid almost $200 for a new install from my...

    Sub Hiccup / Cap Beep

I just mean I wired the box instead of the sub. I used the gold plated connections on the outside of the box to run my two voice coils like someone would run two subs. I drew a diagram and I did the top one oppsed to criss-crossing wires over the voice coils...

    charging capacitor w/o a resistor?

just go to raio shack and get another resistor or go to a car audio sho and they'll likely give you one. especially if you go where you bought it.

    amp going into protection mode

I'm not positive but I think it could be because you have everything running off of the one amp and you're running the sub in 2ohms. I think it all should be that same...4ohm. Unplug your sub for a day or so and see if your amp cuts out on the way to work.

    Sub Hiccup / Cap Beep

I have my cap running inline with my amp so the power goes into cap then out to amp and the ground from the amp goes to the cap then to the ground....maybe I'll try separate grounds.

    soldering wires in a sub

HAHAHA...is it a JL? I had that problem, I just resoldered like you want to do. You don't want to wrap the wire around anything though. If you have a warranty I'd try sending it back first JL and Rockford will usually take stuff back if you go to where you bought it even if the warranty is...

    Where to buy an Alternator

That's where I have been leaning toward so far but a green machine might be good if they get back to me before I buy this one. I was hoping for something even bigger though...

Visonik V900XD, yes it is stable to 1 ohm, I think even .5 ohm.
