I've never smoked any speakers in the past. I have a set of cheaper speakers laying around, so I try those and be extra careful adjusting the gain and EQ.

Thanks for the reply. I am thinking it is the amp since all the speakers are fried now. Amplifier output voltage is AC I presume?

If I am reading this right,The directions from for the LC6i calls for the gain on the unit to be raised(gain on amp set at 0) until the Maximized lite just starts to flash, then start adjusting gain on the amp.

The setting on the LC6i is about 3/4 and thegain on the amp is on about 3. What causes clipping?
